In development

MAP Protector is currently in development with selected integrations being prepared. We are speaking with brands, manufacturers and distributors to shape the first release around real catalogues and real compliance workflows.

  • Monitoring engine and policy rules in build
  • Marketplace integration work in progress

01The problem

Manual MAP monitoring doesn't scale.

Brands with large catalogues and multiple marketplace sellers are trying to observe something that changes continuously, using tools that were never designed for it.

The result is usually the same: partial coverage, evidence scattered across inboxes and screenshots, and no reliable way to tell a one-off from a pattern.

  • Large product catalogues

Thousands of SKUs across multiple brands cannot be checked by hand at any useful frequency.

  • Multiple marketplace sellers

The same listing can carry several sellers, each with its own advertised price.

  • Pricing changes throughout the day

Advertised prices move continuously, so a single daily check misses most of what happened.

  • Manual monitoring does not scale

Spreadsheets and screenshots consume skilled time and still leave gaps in coverage.

  • Inconsistent seller behaviour

Some sellers adjust prices only for short periods, which is precisely what manual checks miss.

  • Fragmented evidence

Evidence is scattered across inboxes, files and personal devices, in no consistent format.

  • Repeat activity is hard to prove

Without a retained record it is difficult to distinguish a one-off from a pattern.

  • No historical visibility

Once a price changes back, the previous observation is gone unless something recorded it.

02Workflow

From connection to review, in one workspace.

Five stages, each one designed so the next has the data it needs. Nothing happens automatically that your team has not configured.
  1. 01

    Connect

Connect supported marketplace and data sources through authorised integrations, with credentials held in managed configuration.

  2. 02

    Define

Import products and assign MAP pricing policies at the level that suits your catalogue — product, SKU, brand or channel.

  3. 03

    Monitor

Track observed advertised marketplace pricing against those policies as new data arrives.

  4. 04

    Detect

Automatically identify prices requiring compliance review, based on the thresholds you configured.

  5. 05

    Review

Investigate seller activity, pricing history and supporting evidence from one workspace, then decide what action your policy requires.

Important

Positioning

MAP Protector does not enforce MAP policies and does not act on your behalf on any marketplace. MAP policies are established and enforced by the relevant manufacturer, brand owner or distributor under its own agreements and applicable law. MAP Protector provides monitoring, intelligence, workflow and reporting tools that help your team manage that process with better information.

03The workspace

Everything an observation needs, in one place.

Products, sellers, thresholds, history and evidence sit together, so a review does not start with assembling context.

04Automated price monitoring

See the price change, not just the current price.

A single check tells you what a listing shows right now. MAP Protector retains each observation, so you can see how advertised pricing moved against your threshold over time — and which sellers were involved.
  • Observations recorded against the MAP threshold configured for each SKU
  • Variance calculated and classified so review queues stay prioritised
  • History retained behind every listing, including short-lived changes

05Capabilities

Built around how compliance teams actually work.

Each capability exists because manual MAP monitoring fails at a specific point. Together they cover the path from catalogue to evidence.
  • 01

    Automated Price Monitoring

Continuously analyse pricing information obtained through authorised marketplace and data integrations, rather than relying on periodic manual checks.

  • 02

    MAP Policy Rules

Define pricing thresholds at product and SKU level, including different thresholds for different products, brands or channels.

  • 03

    Seller Intelligence

Organise seller observations associated with affected listings so repeated activity is visible rather than scattered across screenshots.

  • 04

    Violation Detection

Surface pricing observations that appear below configured MAP thresholds and route them into a review queue.

  • 05

    Historical Price Tracking

Understand when and how advertised pricing changes over time, with the observation history retained behind each listing.

  • 06

    Alerting

Allow teams to receive notifications when configured conditions are detected, so the right person sees an observation quickly.

  • 07

    Evidence & Reporting

Maintain structured records that can support internal compliance workflows, exports and periodic reporting.

  • 08

    Catalogue Management

Manage large quantities of products and marketplace identifiers, including bulk import and identifier mapping.

  • 09

    Multi-Marketplace Architecture

Designed so additional commerce marketplaces can be supported over time without re-architecting the platform.

06Marketplace integration

Built for marketplace data at scale.

MAP Protector is being designed to securely connect with supported marketplace services and authorised APIs, allowing pricing and catalogue data to be processed through a central monitoring environment.
  1. Source

    Marketplace

Advertised pricing, listing and seller information published on a supported marketplace.

  2. Access

    Authorised API

Data is requested only through documented, authorised interfaces under the permissions granted to the account.

Amazon SP-API integration is being developed subject to applicable Amazon authorisation, permissions and API policies.

  3. Layer

    Projectix integration layer

Authentication, rate-limit handling, validation and normalisation into a single internal schema.

  4. Processing

    MAP Protector processing

Observed prices are compared against the MAP thresholds configured for each product or SKU.

  5. Output

    Monitoring, alerts, reporting

Review queues, notifications, pricing history and structured records for internal compliance workflows.

Integrations are built against documented interfaces and operate under the permissions granted to the account being connected. Credentials are held in managed server-side configuration, and data is requested only for the functionality the service provides.

Amazon SP-API integration is being developed subject to applicable Amazon authorisation, permissions and API policies. We have applied for the relevant access; nothing on this page should be read as confirmation that it has been granted.

08Questions

MAP Protector, answered plainly.

What is MAP Protector?
MAP Protector is a brand protection and commerce monitoring platform being developed by Projectix. It monitors advertised marketplace pricing against the Minimum Advertised Price policies a brand has defined, surfaces listings that appear to need review, and keeps a structured record of what was observed and when.
What is a Minimum Advertised Price policy?
A Minimum Advertised Price (MAP) policy is a policy set by a manufacturer, brand owner or distributor that describes the lowest price at which its products may be advertised. The policy, its terms and its enforcement are entirely a matter for the business that issues it.
Does MAP Protector enforce MAP policies?
No. MAP Protector provides monitoring, intelligence, workflow and reporting tools. MAP policies are established and enforced by the relevant manufacturer, brand owner or distributor under its own agreements and applicable law. MAP Protector helps your team see what is happening and organise the supporting evidence; the decisions and any action remain yours.
Which marketplaces will MAP Protector support?
The platform is being built on a multi-marketplace architecture so additional commerce marketplaces can be supported over time. Amazon marketplace integration is in development, subject to applicable authorisation, permissions and API policies. We will confirm supported marketplaces as integrations are completed rather than promising them in advance.
Does MAP Protector change marketplace prices?
No. MAP Protector does not set, change or influence prices on any marketplace. It observes advertised pricing information obtained through authorised integrations and compares it with the thresholds you configure.
How does marketplace integration work?
Data is requested through documented, authorised APIs using credentials you grant, then handled by the Projectix integration layer, which authenticates, validates and normalises it before MAP Protector processes it. Credentials are held in managed configuration and are never exposed to the browser.
Can MAP Protector monitor large product catalogues?
Catalogue scale is one of the reasons the product exists. Products and marketplace identifiers can be imported in bulk, and MAP thresholds can be assigned at product, SKU, brand or channel level so large ranges do not have to be configured one item at a time.
How is marketplace data handled?
Data obtained through authorised marketplace integrations is used only to provide functionality associated with the service, in line with the applicable platform and API policies. Projectix does not sell third-party marketplace API data. Our Data & API Usage page sets out the detail.
Is MAP Protector available now?
MAP Protector is currently in development. Businesses interested in early access can contact Projectix to discuss their requirements.
